Efficacy Learning Programme (ELP)
ELP aspires to nurture students to be wholesome self-regulated learners through a learner-centred process and approach learning program. It is the transformative tools to activate ADNI’s learning outcomes.
It encourages students to be active participants in the learning activities and to move away from transmission of knowledge to active construction of knowledge.
An integral activity of ELP is Cross Curricular Day (CCD), a part of active learning activities to expose student’s to real life applications of what have been learned in classroom. Students naturally learn better when the learning activities post multiple problem stimuli which help their character building, performance and understanding.
Student Potential Development Program
ADNI Student Potential Development Program (SPDU), believes that it is crucial for teachers and the entire school community to understand and support the Special Needs children and as well as explore the various ways they can help these students; by working every day to overcome the impact of dyslexia, dysgraphia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), etc.
Adni respects the importance of an integrated and holistic system in place for effective education – with ADNI not just being a school but a holistic integrated education centre that treats each and every child in class as an individual. The approach of integrating formal and non-formal education as the school strives to profile students and identify special needs through a diagnosis before designing special programmes for each case based on what relevant modules, activities and focal points are needed for optimal effectiveness.
SPDU serves to identify specific needs of exceptional students, providing the best approach towards developing their capacity to learn and make a positive difference to their lives. It acts as a specialized unit that facilitates the growth and achievements of individual children, empowering students through holistic development.
As ADNI is not a Special Needs School, we do not have special needs classes for exceptional students. Instead we practice inclusive education in which exceptional students are placed in mainstream classes. This will allow these students to learn the skills to participate more fully in society. A mixture of mainstream and exceptional students in ADNI teaches all students to be mindful of the needs and requirements of those around them, and allows for all students to make friends with children with a range of abilities and needs and from a variety of backgrounds.
